Kosharitsa is a resort (Burgas region, Nessebar municipality) located 3 km from the popular resort of Sunny Beach, at the foot of the majestic Balkan Mountains, whose last slopes gently descend into the crystal-clear waters of the Black Sea. The first archaeological finds date back to the Thracian period, later Slavs and Proto-Bulgarians settled here, and valuable Roman artifacts have also been discovered. The present settlement was founded at the beginning of the 19th century. One of the founders of the village is considered to be Grandfather Ivan and his descendants, who settled in the area of today’s Kosharitsa in 1846. The name Kosharitsa came later. Its root comes from "koshera," meaning sheepfold, where farmers raised their livestock. Livestock farming was the main source of income for the residents of the settlement.

Today, the village is extremely charming, having preserved its purity and beauty. Harmony, beauty, and tranquility of untouched nature prevail here. In the vicinity, there is the popular and lively Sunny Beach resort and the picturesque Kalinata nature reserve.
